Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead programs across multiple, cross-functional teams from conception, through design and development, to delivery of tested, useable prototypes.
  • Work across cross-functional partners (engineering, business, and design) to identify scope, constraints, dependencies, risks, and timelines across programs.
  • Proactively identify technical, procedural, legal, logistical, and communications challenges and partner with leads to drive creative solutions to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate communications across internal and external teams, including upwards communication to team leadership.
  • Frequent communication with senior leadership to shape and deliver on the product roadmap and requires to nimbly switch between strategic and tactical initiatives to achieve technical, and business goals.
  • Build a dashboard to showcase team velocity and impediments in Agile development tools such as Azure ADO, and Rally.
  • Facilitates daily stand-up, iteration planning, sprint review, and the iteration retrospective
  • Guides team in time estimating practices and facilitates team estimates of engineering development projects and facilitates sprint releases.
  • Drive team iteration execution, communicates with management and stakeholders, and protect the team from the uncontrolled injection of work.
  • Manage project conflicts, challenges, and dynamic business requirements to keep operations running at a high performance.
  • Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices.
  • Helps the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the scrum and development teams in self-organization.
  • Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal Scrum Master will be highly quantitative, have great judgment and passion for the business, be inventive, and have a strong track record of delivery.
  • The Scrum Master will dive deep to understand the infrastructure, dataset dependencies for feature/application deployments, integration testing requirements before deployment
  • The Scrum Master will assist the technical program manager to track the record of building and delivering software
  • 6 years of strong technical Scrum Master experience in an agile environment
  • Scrum master certification or PMI-ACP certification a must
  • Exceptional business relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
  • A good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) models and a track record of shipping software efficiently.
  • Recognize the difference between building software and releasing software.
  • A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
  • Prior experience on a scrum team for the design and implementation of applications
  • Ability to analyse and think quickly and resolve conflict
  • Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
  • Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not
  • Experience with successful Agile techniques
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Must have the ability to motivate-self and stay focused and help the team focused on spite of organizational distractions
  • Demonstrable experience in asset and knowledge discovery supporting the creation of knowledge articles.
  • Demonstrable experience in supporting data migration within the agile lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with product owners to identify, deliver and prioritize activities required to build the product backlog.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with varied scrum teams at a mix of remote, local, and offshore locations to deliver against the scrum sprints.
  • Demonstrable experience in hosting and planning regular stand-ups as well as sprint planning.
  • Demonstrable experience in running and presenting retrospectives both physically and remotely.
  • Extensive experience in complex solutions for large organizations or private corporations using a diverse engineering and technology team

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior-level management.
  • Proven track record of leading, and mentoring data teams.
  • 6 years of strong technical program management experience in an agile environment
  • Scrum master certification or PMI-ACP certification a must
